The grapes were hand harvested at 22.8° Brix. During the fermentation 25% whole clusters were used and the rest was de-stemmed.  Indigenous yeasts and bacteria carried out both primary and secondary fermentations.  The wine was aged in 25% New French oak for 18 months. Note that relatively speaking 18 months in barrel is a long ageing time for pinot noir. Regan vineyard is in the cooler area of the SCM AVA which lends to a pinot noir with high acidity, extended barrel ageing is needed to calm the wine down and get it into a drinkable state of maturity.  This wine is… Unfined.
